Help on Using FruitInfo - the Michigan Fruit Information Network The information resources available are categorized in three ways:
You can select one crop from the Select Crop drop-down in the left menu bar The Select Operation box in the left menu bar will show the total number of entries that are in the database for each defined operation. The number shown includes all types of information, and will be specific to the selected crop. The main display shows 5 selected information resources in the database for each type of information, with the most recent entry at the top of the list. To the right of the label is the number of entries that are in the databse for that type of information, and will be specific to the selected crop. Each listing begins with the title, followed by a short description. The title is a link to the information resource. Some entreis also have an abstract, which provides more information about the entry, which can be viewed by clicking on the word Abstract. At the end of the listing, there may be a red (PDF file, indicating the the user needs the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the entry, followed by the appropximate size of the PDF file. Note that this information appears only for PDF files that are on the FruitInfo website. Note that some entreis are hosted by other other websites and may be PDF files. Immediately following the top 5 is a link to MORE entries of that type of information. Clicking this link will cause the display to change to display the total entries of that type, shown with 10 entries per page. Entries are shown in alphabetical order. Use the arrow buttons at the bottom of the page to page through the entreis. To return to a list of the top 5 for all types of information, click the All Info Types button in the left menu bar. To reset all selections to the default (all crops, all operations, all types), click the Reset All button. At the top right and bottom center is a set of menu items. You got to this page using the Help item. The Contact Us item can be used to send an email about FruitInfo to the webmaster. The Home item will return you to the information display after selected one of the other menu items.
